DURHAM, Conn. — Connecticut State Police say a Maine man died when his motorcycle hit a utility pole and tree in Connecticut.
It happened around 3:20 p.m. Sunday in Durham. Police say Scott Coffin, 51, of Windham, Maine, was riding north on Route 17 when his motorcycle crossed into the southbound lane and went off the road.
Police say Coffin was thrown from his motorcycle.
The road was closed between Dinatale Drive and Parmelee Hill Road and reopened shortly after 9 p.m. The crash is under investigation.
