In Maine, gas prices were 33.4 cents per gallon lower Sunday than on the same day a year ago.

GasBuddy attributed the recent rise to refinery maintenance costs, which typically occur at this time of year.

It also warned that oil inventories are rising while gas inventories have fallen, which will likely mean continued tightness of supply and rising prices for the time being.
