A 35-year-old Westbrook man was caught by police burglarizing a former neighbor’s home Sunday afternoon, Westbrook police said.

Police were called to a burglary in progress on West Pleasant Street, where officers found Jesse Reynolds in the act of stealing items from a home.

Reynolds was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and violating conditions of release, according to the Westbrook department.

In a statement, Westbrook police thanked the anonymous neighbor who called in the burglary.
