STANDISH — Ben Lambert pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts Monday as Thornton Academy defeated Bonny Eagle 7-0 in an SMAA baseball game.

Lambert didn’t walk a batter and lost his perfect game on a fielding error in the fourth inning. He also had three hits, including a home run and three RBI. Evan Balzano added two hits and drove in three runs for the Trojans (6-0).

Dana McKay of the Scots (4-4) gave up two earned runs and struck out nine in six innings.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4, SACOPEE VALLEY 3: Jon Gillis singled to lead off the eighth inning, stole second and scored on Jason Beaudoin’s single as Old Orchard Beach (6-2) stopped Sacopee Valley (8-1) at South Hiram.

Sacopee Valley committed eight errors and all of Old Orchard’s runs were unearned.

Dana Shea had a pair of hits, and Brandon Burnell allowed five hits and struck out seven for Sacopee.

WELLS 8, YARMOUTH 7: Mike Wrigley laced a one-out double in the top of the 10th inning, then scored the go-ahead run when a grounder was misplayed as Wells (5-2) beat the Clippers (6-1-1) at Yarmouth.

Wells tied the game with two runs in the seventh on Shawn Ramsey’s RBI double and Cam Cousins’ sacrifice fly.

Jack Snyder led Yarmouth with four RBI on three hits.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3, FREEPORT 2: Matt Fuller hit a two-run double and later scored on an error as the Raiders (1-9) scored three runs in the fifth inning to rally past the Falcons (3-5) at Fryeburg.

Hunter Day struck out four and walked two in a six-hitter for the Raiders.

Caleb Rice of Freeport pitched a two-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks.

Colby Wagner had an RBI single for the Falcons.

MARSHWOOD 3, WINDHAM 0: Nate Curtis struck out three and walked two in a two-hitter as the Hawks (4-4) beat the Eagles (3-5) at South Berwick.

Marshwood scored twice in the first inning: Holden Jackman hit a sacrifice fly and Curtis singled in Cole McDaniels. The Hawks made it 3-0 in the second when Ryan O’Neil drove in Chris Davis with a sacrifice fly.

McDaniels finished with two hits and a run. Davis doubled and scored.

YORK 14, POLAND 0: The Wildcats (7-2) scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning to beat the Knights (2-7) in five innings at Poland.

Matt Trainer and Tim MacDonald each went 2 for 4 for York, and Sam Johnson added a grand slam and drove in five runs.

GREELY 7, KENNEBUNK 4: Ryan Twitchell pitched five shutout innings, limiting the Rams (3-5) to one hit while striking out 12 as Greely (5-1-1) built a 6-0 lead at Cumberland.

The Rangers scored all six runs in a third-inning rally started by Caleb Normandeau’s innocuous two-out single. The Rangers followed with five more hits.

Cal Soule drove in the first run with a single. Twitchell lined a two-run double and Luke Miller an RBI single before Austin Nowinski capped the surge with another two-run double.

OCEANSIDE 4, WINSLOW 2: Tom Curtis singled in Michael Norton as part of a three-run first inning to help the Mariners (7-1) sink the Raiders (6-1) at Thomaston.

Winslow responded with two runs in the second: Dameron Rodrigue singled in Spencer Miranda, who led off with a double. The Raiders got their second run on a fielder’s choice by Jake Trask to drive in Ben Smith.

The Mariners added a run in the fourth on another RBI single from Curtis, who had two hits with a run and two RBI.

Miranda singled and doubled for Winslow. Smith and Rodrigue each added two hits.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Pat MacDonald singled home Marshall Peterson and Sean Agrondia scored on an error as Cape Elizabeth (6-1) scored twice in the fourth inning to take a 3-0 lead against the Patriots (2-7) at Gray.

Daulton Corthell singled home Tanner Mann for Gray-New Gloucester in the bottom of the inning.

Nate Ingalls of the Capers struck out eight. Josiah Rottari had a pair of strikeouts for Gray-New Gloucester.
