Scarborough senior Captain Cam Nigro lofts up his squad’s newest hardware: the 2016 Class A State Final winners’ trophy. The Storm earned their first Championship in three years on Saturday, June 18, topping North reps Brunswick 18-10 at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. Scarborough, who entered the tournament ranked No. 1 in the South at 9-3, bested South Portland 16-4 and Gorham 12-8 on their way to their showdown the the Dragons, last year’s winners. Sam Neugebauer, Cam Thibault and Marco Manfra each tallied four goals for the Storm and the team never trailed. It’s head coach Joe Hezlep’s sixth State Crown in nine years with the program.
