BIDDEFORD — Lorraine M. Saucier, 89, of Biddeford, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at home with her family by her side.

She was born in Biddeford on Oct. 22, 1926, a daughter of Oliver and Louise (Chauvette) Bergeron.

Lorraine was a member of the former Notre Dame Church in Saco. She married Bernard Saucier on June 29, 1946, in Biddeford. Lorraine worked for many years in the electrical manufacturing industry in Saco.

Lorraine was an avid gardener who also enjoyed being with her family. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox vs. Yankee games. Recently, Lorraine really enjoyed visiting with her brother Rene on Sundays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Saucier, on Oct. 27, 2007.

Lorraine is survived by: her five children, Bernard Saucier Jr. and his wife Diane of Biddeford, Donald Saucier and his wife Debbie of Waterboro, Lucille Nadeau and her husband Roger of Saco, Doris Jacques and her husband Raymond of Biddeford, and Claire Dube and her husband Lester of Biddeford.

She will also be greatly missed by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one brother, Rene Bergeron, and his wife Therese of Biddeford.

Visiting hours will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
