For many months, I have thought of writing about the letter “t.” As “winner” (or should that be winter?) is soon approaching and the news broadcasters will be talking about “winner,” I think it is time to write.
Why do the news media frequently drop the “t” from words? We hear “mounain” instead of “mountain,” “cenner” instead of “center,” “Clinon” instead of “Clinton.”
Come on, broadcasters, use that “t.” If you want to drop the “t,” drop it off the front of words and you will get “Rump” instead of Trump, which seems most appropriate at this time.
