Re: “Maine drug deaths averaging one a day” (Page A1, Nov. 15): What will it be in 2017?
The passing of the marijuana bill will increase it by far. Teens will always find a way to get some more. As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, I know how they think! They will find a way of getting someone to buy from, to try it and, once hooked, get more and with their friends!
The police will be overburdened – and what will the charges be? How will they be able to test how much of the drug was used?
Having worked in courts here and in Massachusetts, I believe this will be a difficult time. How many lives will be lost? Time will tell.
