NAPLES — Sara D’Appolonia scored 11 points Tuesday night as Yarmouth knocked off Lake Region 28-24 in girls’ basketball.

Cory Langenbach added nine and Alison Clark chipped in with seven for Yarmouth (1-1), which Lake Region (1-1) scoreless in the first quarter – Yarmouth led 6-0.

Kristen Huntress scored a game-high 13 points for Lake Region.

MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY 49, MASSABESIC 27: Jill Joyce had eight of her game-high 18 points in the third quarter as the Lions (1-1) outscored the Mustangs (0-1) 20-8 in the third quarter and pulled away to win at Portland.

Serena Mower had 11 points, including three 3-pointers for Maine Girls’ Academy, and Catherine Reid added 10 points.

McKenzy Ouellete had 12 points to lead Massabesic.

SOUTH PORTLAND 57, DEERING 46: The Red Riots (2-0) jumped to a 10-2 lead and never trailed as they defeated the Rams (1-1) in Portland.

Eva Mazur led the Red Riots with 21 points, nailing five 3-pointers. Meghan Graff added 15 points.

Delaney Haines scored 15 points for Deering.

MARSHWOOD 54, THORNTON ACADEMY 43: The Hawks (2-0) held the Golden Trojans (1-1) to five points in the second quarter in winning at South Berwick.

Noelle Barrett had 10 points to pace a balanced offense for Marshwood. Miranda Montgomery added eight points and Casey Perry and Natalie Herbold each tossed in seven points.

Alisha Aube had 18 points, including three 3-pointers, for Thornton Academy, and Isabella Robinson chipped in with 11.

FALMOUTH 56, CAPE ELIZABETH 31: Adelaide Cooke had 11 of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter as the Yachtsmen (1-1) grabbed a 36-12 halftime lead and easily downed the Capers (0-2) at Falmouth.

Madeline Rouhana had added eight points for Falmouth.

Erin O’Rourke led Cape Elizabeth with 12 points.

BONNY EAGLE 50, WESTBROOK 35: Natalie Bushey had 11 points to lead a balanced offense as the host Scots (1-1) limited second-half rebounds and pulled away from the Blue Blazes (0-2) at Standish.

Deirdre Sanborn was the other player in double figures for Bonny Eagle, with 10 points, and Tracie Townsend added eight points.

Julia Martel led all scorers with 17 points for Westbrook, including three 3-pointers.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 38, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 35: Katie Pilkington had seven of her 11 points in the second quarter as the Guardians (1-1) took a 21-14 halftime lead and held off the Lions (0-2) at South Berwick.

Courtney Williams led Seacoast Christian with 12 points.

Grace Mears led Greater Portland Christian with 15 points, and Aubrey Viekman tossed in 10.

SACOPEE VALLEY 57, TRAIP 34: The Hawks (1-1) led 19-5 after the first quarter on their way to defeating the Rangers (1-1) in South Hiram.

Hayden Sawyer and Helen Ruhlin combined for 15 of the Hawks’ 19 first-quarter points. Sawyer scored a game-high 16 points, and Ruhlin finished with 14.

Nicole Roberts led the Rangers with eight points.

WELLS 57, ST. DOMINIC 28: The Warriors (1-1) jumped to a 15-0 lead after the first quarter and handled the Saints (0-2) at Auburn.

Halee Ramsdell had a game-high 14 points for Wells, Natalie Thurber tossed in nine points and Anya Chase chipped in with seven.

Janelle Bryant had 10 points to lead St. Dominic, including a pair of 3-pointers.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 49, KENNEBUNK 21: The Patriots (2-0) shut out the Rams (1-1) 14-0 in the first quarter and cruised to victory in Gray.

Skye Conley and Grace Kariotis each scored 11 points to lead the Patriots. Alicia Dumont added 10 points.

Maran Oakman led the Rams with seven points.

RICHMOND 32, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 29: Sydney Tilton had 11 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Bobcats to the win in Richmond.

Mackenzie Abbott added nine points and six steals for Richmond (2-0).

Maggie Strohm and Emily Greenlee each had six points for OOB (1-1).

WATERVILLE 40, OCEANSIDE 34: Jordan Jabar had 15 points and the Purple Panthers overcame a six-point halftime deficit for the win in Waterville.

Waterville (2-0) outscored Oceanside (1-1) 26-13 in the second half, holding the Mariners to two points in the third quarter.

Mackenzie St. Pierre and Kaylyn Trussell each added seven points for the Panthers.

SANFORD 51, BIDDEFORD 42: Summer Camire scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Spartans (1-1) over the Tigers (0-2) in Biddeford.

Leading by just one at the half, the Spartans outscored the Tigers 26-19 in the second half. Camire nailed five 3-pointers in the game.

Grace Martin led Biddeford with 18 points and 13 rebounds.

FREEPORT 55, WAYNFLETE 53: Taylor Rinaldi scored 19 points as the Falcons (1-1) edged the Flyers (1-1) in Freeport.

Lydia Giguere scored 13 of her game-high 30 points in the fourth quarter for Waynflete. The Flyers trailed 44-32 after three quarters.

Regan Lynch added 12 points for Freeport, and Caroline Smith added 11.

WINDHAM 43, NOBLE 30: Meghan Hoffses scored 10 points to lead the Eagles (2-0) over the Hawks (0-2) in North Berwick.

Mya Mannette added nine for Windham. Raegan Kelly scored a game-high 11 points, hitting three 3-pointers to lead Noble.

POLAND 34, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 30: Jessica Seely and Morgan Brousseau combined for the six points in overtime as the Knights (2-0) outlasted the Raiders (1-1) at Poland.

Kaylin Delaney hit a basket with 10 seconds to play for Fryeburg Academy to send the game to overtime, Sarah Moody missed a pair of free throws for Poland with 2 seconds to play with a chance to win in regulation.

Seely had a game-high 12 points for the Knights, and Brousseau finished with 10 points.

Nicole Bennett led the Raiders with eight points, Delaney added seven points.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 56, ERSKINE ACADEMY 53: Gabrielle DePatsy had 15 points and seven rebounds as the Panthers (1-1) held off the Eagles (0-2) in overtime in South China.

Catherine Silva had a game-high 17 points to go along with nine rebounds, and Jordan Linscott had 14 points, nine rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Eagles, who trailed 36-26 heading into the fourth quarter.

Chelsea Ripley added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers.

MONMOUTH 61, WISCASSET 25: Tia Day had 11 points, eight steals and five assists to lead the host Mustangs. Maddie Amero added eight points for Monmouth (2-0).

Wiscasset (0-2) was led by Maeve Blodgett with nine points.
