BIDDEFORD — Rita Elise Lamarre, 85, of Biddeford died on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at her home in Biddeford.

She was born on March 23, 1931 to Gaston and Bernadette (Bedard) Bellefeuille in Biddeford. She was educated in local schools.

On Sept. 25, 1948, she married Maurice Lamarre at St. Andre Church in Biddeford.

She worked at the Pepperell Mill and then at various shoe shops. She then went to Biddeford Textile Mfg. as a seamstress until her retirement in 1995. She was a natural when it came to computers, she loved learning all about them. She was an amazing seamstress and cook.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bellefeuille.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Maurice Lamarre; a daughter, Patricia Rowe of Sanford; a son: Mark Lamarre and his wife Susan of Mabane, North Carolina; seven grandchildren: Amber Lamarre, Jo Lamarre, Cory Lamarre, Hannah Lamarre, Tammy Desrosiers, Becky Morse and Mandy Lamontagne; eight great-grandchildren, Braydon Horton, Sy Lamarre, Rylan and Aroura Sanchez, Skyler Morse, Bellamy Morse, Madison Desrosiers and Shelbey Desrosiers; and her sister, Salonge Beauchemin and her husband Jean of Saco.

Visiting Hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A service will follow on Saturday at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.  Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
