NEWFIELD — John Vincent Sciaba, 34, of West Newfield, died on March 10, 2017, in West Newfield.

He was born on April 27, 1982, to John J. and Linda R. (Santospago) Sciaba in Salem, Massachusetts. He attended schools in Northampton, New Hampshire, and Stowe, Vermont. He was a graduate of Stowe High School in 2001.

John and his fiancé Jennifer Meyer planned to marry this summer. His family considers her his wife as he always did.

He worked at various places, some of his favorites were Legroes Garden Center in Arundel, Robins Nest Natural pool builders from Hollis, and working as a maintenance person at the Biddeford Headstart. 

John was an extremely talented musician. He loved playing the drums and keyboard and creating beautiful electronic mixes which he loved to share.

He loved camping, hiking and being outdoors in nature, which was why he and Jenn chose to live where they did, he was happiest these last years in Newfield with Jenn and Luna and Dubby, their two Maine Coon cats.

He is survived by: his wife, Jenn Meyer-Sciaba; his grandmother, Elizabeth Santospago, from Milton, Massachusetts; his parents, John and Linda Sciaba, of Biddeford; his brother, Michael Sciaba, of Biddeford; his best buddy, nephew Jack Fulton, of Acton, Maine; his closest friend, Collin Miller, of Epping, New Hampshire; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, brother- and sister- in-laws, and mother- and father-in-law, and friends who will all miss him terribly.

Visiting hours will be 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
