Congratulations to the South Portland School Department. Monday’s Memorial Day parade made it evident that what is happening in our music programs at the high school, Memorial Middle School and Mahoney Middle School is beyond the par.
The performance of each of these bands made me proud to be a resident of South Portland and of this country, and to support these programs, in small part, with my taxes. There was a strong sense of community at this parade, and I was proud to be part of it.
