BIDDEFORD — Diane Elaine Parker, 54, of Biddeford, died Monday, July 31, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 2, 1962 in Biddeford, a daughter of Raoul A. and Doris C. (DeSilva) Lagarde, Jr. She attended Saco schools and graduated from Biddeford High School with the Class of 1980.

On Aug. 2, 1985, she married Edward L. Parker, Jr. at the United Baptist Church in Saco.

Diane had been employed for two years at Rich’s Department Store as a sales clerk and then for 19 years with Medicare B, first in the mail room and then as a claims processor and correspondence associate.

She loved traveling, going on shopping trips and to the casinos. Her passion however, was her volunteer work with the Wounded Heroes Program of Maine assisting our wounded veterans.

She is preceded in death by her brother Michael Lagarde in 2010.

Diane is survived by her husband of 32 years, Edward L. Parker, Jr. of Biddeford; two sons, Christopher Parker of Seattle, Washington and Kyle Parker of Orlando, Florida; her parents, Raoul and Doris Lagarde of Biddeford; two sisters, Debra Romprey of Springvale and Cindy McGriff and her husband Rick of Waterboro; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
