Le Grand Bleu, the super yacht that attracted a lot of attention when it moored off Fort Gorges last weekend, has left Portland Harbor and arrived at a new destination on the Maine coast.

Mark Tibbetts, Rockland’s assistant harbormaster, said the 370-foot yacht anchored in Rockland Harbor on Tuesday.

“It’s a pretty impressive boat,” Tibbetts said Wednesday. “It has been getting a lot of boat traffic with boaters circling around it to get a closer look.”

Tibbetts said he has no idea how long Le Grand Bleu will stay in Rockland. The owner is under no obligation to register with the harbormaster’s office.

Regarded as one of the largest yachts in the world, the vessel is owned by Russian-American oil tycoon Evgeny (Eugene) Shvidler.
