BRUNSWICK — Lena C. Fluet, age 79, died September 16, at Governor King Wing, The Highlands, in Topsham.

She was born in Brunswick, May 9, 1938, the daughter of Rosario and Cedea (Bouchard) Labonte and was a graduate of Brunswick High School.

She married her childhood friend who eventually became her sweetheart Ronald P. Fluet in Brunswick, September 2, 1957. They built their life, family and business together in Brunswick where they raised their four boys and she worked with her husband in his accounting business.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years: four sons Stephen and his wife Allison, Dana and his wife Kasey, James, and Gary and his wife Nicola; and seven grandchildren, Griffin, Zoe, Brady, Abby, Callan, Josh and Cale,

Lena’s greatest passion in life was her family. Holidays at her house on Bowdoin Street brought all of her sons and their families home. She always added a special touch to holiday gatherings from decorations and impeccably wrapped presents to amazing meals and the most delicious pies; each son had a favorite. She loved her family most of all and made their times together special. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Friday, September 29 at St. John the Baptist Church of All Saints Parish, 39 Pleasant Street, Brunswick.
