SACO — A Hollis woman was charged with operating under the influence after she crashed her car driving the wrong direction on the turnpike early Monday morning.

Baylee Lunt, 21, of Hollis, was driving her car north in the southbound lane of the Maine Turnpike in Saco around 12:30 a.m. Monday when she crashed into several parked construction vehicles in a lane closed to traffic, said Maine Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland in an email.

The accident happened at the Boom Road overpass construction project. No one was in the parked vehicles at the time, said McCausland.

Lunt was taken to Southern Maine Health Care with minor injuries, said McCausland.
