WINDHAM — The Thornton Academy boys soccer team gutted out a 2-1, overtime win over host Windham on Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday’s win marks the sixth straight for the Trojans, who tie a program record for longest winning streak.

Tied at 1-1 in overtime, Brogan Searle-Belanger would net his second goal to push TA ahead of Windham.

TA improves to 7-3 on the year.

Thornton Academy 5, South Portland 0

The Trojans stayed hot, beating South Portland in a 5-0 shutout.

Taylor Ouellette paced TA with a pair of goals, while Olivia Lambert, Claire Decker and Aliyah Bureau each score one goal apiece.

Freshman Madison Vachon got the shutout in the cage, stopping 27 shots on goal.
