SOUTH BERWICK — Zoe Boyer scored with 25:52 remaining Friday and Marshwood went on to a 2-1 victory against Gorham in an SMAA girls’ soccer game.

Emma Forgues scored early for Gorham (8-2-1) but Marin Smith tied it for the Hawks (9-1-1) in the opening minutes of the second half.

Nathalie Clavette had seven saves for Marshwood.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3, ST. DOMINIC 1: Payje Leclerc scored in each half for the Seagulls (6-3-2), who built a 2-0 halftime lead and downed the Saints (4-6-1) at Old Orchard Beach.

Leclerc opened the scoring after 11 minutes on an indirect kick from Maegan Halle and Ava Clark, then Clark made it 2-0 before halftime.

Addie Suckow scored early in the second half for St. Dom’s before Leclerc added her second goal.

Kaitlyn Cote had nine saves for the Seagulls. Hannah Kenney stopped five shots for the Saints.

TRAIP ACADEMY 7, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Emma Auclair scored four goals to lead the Rangers (8-2-1) over the Panthers (2-9) at Kittery.

Auclair’s first three goals came in the first half, including two in the opening 10 minutes.

Betty Stevens extended the lead five minutes into the second half and Kathleen McPherson added two goals five minutes later. Auclair recorded her fourth goal with 20 minutes left.

Sommer Huntress made three saves for the shutout. Aisley Snell stopped 27 shots for NYA.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 1, OCEANSIDE 0: Haymanot Maynard scored in the first half from Kayla Hubbard to lift Erskine Academy (8-1-3) past Oceanside (6-4-1) at Rockland.

Taylor Shute stopped seven shots for Erskine. Rachel Joyce made seven saves for Oceanside.

MARANACOOK 2, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Naomi Moulton and Lauren Clough scored to lead the Black Bears (6-3-3) over the Eagles (5-5-2) at Readfield.

Nicole D’Angelo had an assist and Skyeler Webb made 13 saves for Marsnacook.

Tatum Hancock scored for Lincoln. Emily Kelsey stopped 10 shots.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 7, TELSTAR 0: Tia Day had three goals and two assists to spark the Mustangs (10-1) past Telstar (1-9-1) at Bethel.

Emily Grandahl, Natalie Grandahl, Audrey Fletcher and Alicen Burnham also scored, and Destiny Clough made four saves for Monmouth.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Nate Arrants, who scored two goals for Falmouth, winds up for a kick as Jacob Nason of Thornton Academy closes in. Falmouth improved its record to 9-2 and dropped the Trojans to 7-4.

FALMOUTH 5, THORNTON ACADEMY 3: Nate Arrants and Thomas Fitzgerald each scored twice as the Yachtsmen (9-2) beat the Trojans (7-4) at Saco.

Josh LeFevre added a goal for Falmouth, which led 3-1 at halftime. Eric McCallum scored twice and Chase Pierce once for Thornton.

Travis Snyder and Cam Lebreque combined to make six saves for the Trojans. Alvaro Fuentes-Cantillana had three for the Yachtsmen.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 3, OCEANSIDE 0: Michael Sprague scored twice and had an assist to lift the Eagles (8-3-1) over Oceanside (0-10-1) at South China.

Alex Cleaves had the other goal for Erskine. David McGraw stopped four shots.

Caleb Powell made 10 saves for Oceanside.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 2, A.R. GOULD 1: Ethan Bowker scored twice in the second half as the Guardians (6-5) erased a 1-0 halftime deficit against the Bears (1-5-1) at South Portland.

Julian Russo scored in the first half for A.R. Gould.

Ernie Lorange stopped 13 shots for A.R. Gould. Brandon Vachon made 12 saves for Seacoast Christian.

WINTHROP 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: Rowan Goebel-Bain scored twice to lead the Ramblers (5-6-1) over Spruce Mountain (2-9) at Winthrop.

YARMOUTH 2, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Kyaira Grondin scored with 3:16 to play in the first overtime as the Clippers (9-2-1) defeated the Capers (3-8) at Cape Elizabeth.

Sophia McGrath scored a first-half goal for Yarmouth before Isabel Berman tied it 16:16 into the second.

Christiana Pinette stopped 23 shots for Cape Elizabeth. Cayte Tillotson had three saves for the Clippers.

BIDDEFORD 4, THORTON ACADEMY 2: The Tigers (10-2) scored three goals in a six-minute span of the second half to rally past the Trojans (8-5) at Saco.

After Taylor Ouellette scored unassisted on a breakaway to give Thornton a 1-0 halftime lead, Sarrah Marcotte tied it, scoring her 17th goal of the season – a Biddeford High record – from Brooklyn Goff. Peyton Mckeown, Katie Monson and Abby Allen added goals as the Tigers extended their lead to 4-1.

Ouellette scored again for the Trojans with two minutes remaining.

FREEPORT 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Natalie Anderson and Alexa Koenig each scored twice to lead the Falcons (9-3-1) past the Patriots (1-11-1) at Freeport.

Anderson scored twice in the first half, and Koenig and Aynslie Decker added goals to put Freeport up 4-0 at the half.

Koenig scored her second goal with 25 minutes remaining, and Grace Schnyder added a goal seven minutes later. Katelyn Rouleau made two saves for the Falcons.

Megan Tripp scored in the second half for Gray-New Gloucester.

SACOPEE VALLEY 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Haiden Sawyer scored from Grace Sanborn less than two minutes into the first overtime as the Hawks (10-3) topped the Rangers (3-8-1) at Kittery.

Reilly Eddy scored for Traip to break a scoreless tie 15 minutes into the second half, but Sanborn answered from Izzy Eldridge with less than two minutes left in regulation.

BONNY EAGLE 1, NOBLE 0: Samantha Averill scored from Kailee Cummings with 10 minutes left in the first half as the Scots (5-8) defeated the Knights (2-9-1) at Standish.

Kaylee Mayotte had six saves for Noble, Chloe Owen stopped three shots for Bonny Eagle, one on a penalty corner with six minutes remaining.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2, WELLS 0: Mariah Murphy had a goal and an assist to lead the Seagulls (3-8-2) past the Warriors (4-8) at Old Orchard Beach.

Mikayla Grier assisted Murphy after 45 seconds of the second half and Brianna Newton added a goal from Murphy.

Leah Green stopped six shots for the shutout. Amanda Ring had 10 saves for Wells.

VOLLEYBALL

DEERING 3, ELLSWORTH 0: Maddy Broda had 24 assists, and Ava Spach added five aces and three blocks as the Rams (11-0) swept the Eagles (4-5) at Ellsworth.

Dianne Dervis added four aces and nine kills for Deering, which won, 25-12, 25-18 and 25-12. Olivia Dyer had 18 assists and Olivia Robidoux added 13 kills and five blocks for Ellsworth.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

SCARBOROUGH: Emily Hopkins was hired as head coach.

Hopkins, a graduate of Springfield College, was previously the girls’ lacrosse coach at Northampton High in western Massachusetts.
