MIDCOAST — A mother and daughter from Lincoln County were arrested for trafficking Oxycodone Thursday after a year-long investigation by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Carol Day, 69, of Jefferson, and her daughter Kimberly Reynolds, 53, of Waldoboro were both charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W Drugs, Class A.
Another person, Clyde Lee, 38, of Waldoboro, was arrested for possession of Schedule W drugs.
According to a news release, agents from both MDEA’s Mid-Coast District Task Force and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office investigated Day and Reynolds extensively. The pair would travel out of state to purchase the drugs, and then bring them back to their home where they would sell them in Lincoln and Knox counties.
A search of Day’s home on Thursday morning found 350 30mg Oxycodone pills, four firearms, and $13,000 in suspected drug proceeds. The MDEA estimates the street value of the drugs seized as $10,500.
All three people were arrested without incident and transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset. Bail for Day and Reynolds was set at $100,000 cash; Lee’s was set at $500.
