SANFORD — Gov. Paul LePage announced Friday that he will hold a town hall meeting at Sanford City Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

According to a press release, the meeting will “focus on the Governor’s mission for Maine, including further reducing the income tax; reforming welfare; strengthening the State’s safety net for the must vulnerable; cutting energy costs; and addressing Maine’s high student debt burden.”

LePage is also expected to address questions from the audience and talk about five of the statewide referendum questions that will be on the November ballot.

The town hall meeting is scheduled for 6-7 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
