POLAND — Ian Regan’s basket with a little more than a minute remaining Friday night put Old Orchard Beach ahead to stay in a 50-46 victory against Poland in a Western Maine Conference boys’ basketball game.

Old Orchard (3-5) took a 27-21 halftime lead but Poland (0-8) stayed close, finally making it 46-46 on Isaiah Hill’s basket with 1:30 remaining.

Regan led the Seagulls with 17 points. Mike Davis had three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.

Hill led the Knights with 17 points.

BOOTHBAY REGION 66, MADISON 51: Hunter Crocker scored 26 points, including 17 in the second half, as the Seahawks (6-4) pulled away to beat the Bulldogs (4-6) at Boothbay Harbor.

Evan Bess led Madison with 18 points. Sean Whalen and Jacob Meader each finished with 11.

Steve Reny scored 18 points and Kyle Ames had 11 for Boothbay. Crocker also grabbed 10 rebounds.

A.R. GOULD 80, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 36: Ernest Lorange led the Bears (7-1) on both sides of the ball, finishing with 13 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and eight steals against the visiting Lions (0-8) at South Portland.

Mason Jones scored a game-high 25 points for Greater Portland Christian.

Tristin Chamberlain had 24 points, and Malakai Brimage added 16 points and 11 rebounds for A.R. Gould.

HALL-DALE 74, LISBON 36: Ashtyn Abbott scored 25 points to lead the Bulldogs (10-0) over the Greyhounds (6-4) at Lisbon Falls.

Abbott also had eight rebounds and four steals, Alec Byron added 17 points, Jett Boyer scored 12 and Tyler Nadeau finished with six for Hall-Dale.

Jonah Sautter scored 13 points and Sean Scott added 11 for the Greyhounds.

Scott hit three 3-pointers for Lisbon.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

GORHAM 66, LEWISTON 35: Adele Nadeau, Mackenzie Holmes and Jacqui Hamilton combined for 27 first-half points as the Rams (6-4) opened a 32-19 lead against the Blue Devils (4-6) at Gorham.

Nadeau drained five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points. Holmes had 19 and Hamilton added 11.

Victoria Harris led Lewiston with 11 points.

FREEPORT 53, MT. ARARAT 39: Jessie Driscoll and Taylor Dostie each scored 12 points for the Falcons (7-2), who took a 31-21 halftime lead and defeated the Eagles (3-8) at Freeport.

Theresa Breed scored a team-high 12 points and Kyla Greenleaf added nine for Mt. Ararat.

Dostie scored eight points in the first half.

MORSE 57, LINCOLN ACADEMY 53: Marissa Parks scored 11 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Shipbuilders (2-7) edged the Eagles (4-6) in Bath.

Parks also grabbed 16 rebounds. Sierra Wallace added 15 points and Marije Medencia scored 12.

Lincoln was paced by Ellie Mathews with 14 points and Chelsea Williams with 11.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 77, CARRABEC 24: Tia Day had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead the Mustangs (10-1) over the Cobras (4-6) at North Anson.

Abby Ferland scored 15 points and Kaeti Butterfield added 14 for the Mustangs.

Sky Welch led Carrabec with seven points.

TEMPLE ACADEMY 56, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 38: Deleyni Carr scored 19 points to lead Temple Academy (5-5) over Seacoast Christian (6-4) at Waterville.

Temple broke the game open with a 22-12 run in the fourth quarter.

Selain Heinrich added 17 points for the Bereans.

Cadence Robbins led the Guardians in scoring with 15 points.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

YARMOUTH 4, WATERVILLE 3: Dominic Morrill scored 1:27 into overtime on Cooper May’s third assist of the game as the Clippers (3-2-1) edged Waterville/Winslow (5-5) at Yarmouth.

Matt Sanborn started the scoring with a power-play goal for Yarmouth from May at 5:57 of the first period, but Cooper Hart answered for Waterville just 1:03 later.

Kyle Gurney gave the Purple Panthers their first lead, scoring one minute into the second period, but May countered with an unassisted goal for the Clippers 1:25 later.

Sanborn’s second power-play goal of the game came early in the third period and gave the Clippers the lead, but Waterville tied it on Hart’s second goal of the game with 2:32 to go in regulation.
