DOVER, N.H. — Gerard R. Guay, 89, of Mast Road died on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, peacefully at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.

Born March 6, 1928, in Springvale, Maine, the son of Alfred and Lucille (Babineau) Guay. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and the National Guard. Jerry was the owner/operator of Jerry’s Quick Lunch in Dover for many years.

Jerry was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister there. He was also a member of the Biddeford American Legion.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Guay of Dover; two daughters, Pearl Goodwin and her husband, David, of Strafford, New Hampshire, and Laurie Neenan and her husband, William of Dover; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Dylan, Andrew, Kendal and Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Adelaide and Caleb.

Jerry is preceded by his son, Phillip Guay.

Calling will be held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2017, from 10 to 11:30 am at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave. Dover, N.H. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 12 at St. Joseph’s Church 150 Central Ave. Dover, N.H. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
