Slow news week? I was interested in the Jan. 28 Maine Sunday Telegram front-page story on Fireball being “in hot pursuit” of the rank of the “No. 1” liquor sold in Maine. And why not? “The younger kids, it reminds them of the Atomic hot balls candy,” Dock Fore owner Shaun McCarthy told you, adding that “it goes down so easy … you don’t even know you are drinking it.”
Sounds like an enticing invitation for some “younger,” as in underage, kid to try it. With all the complexities kids are dealing with today, running this as your lead story smacks of irresponsible journalism.
