Portland officials are asking for help from motorists as the city clears snow from downtown streets.

While the city did not issue a parking ban during the snowstorm Saturday night into Sunday, the city has asked downtown parkers to help by moving their vehicles off the street, if possible.

If parking off street is not an option, the city asks that vehicles be parked as close to the curbs as possible to allow plows to remove the snow, said a news release from the city manager’s office.
