SACO — Germaine T. Paquet, 91, of Biddeford, died Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Evergreen Manor in Saco. 

She was born Oct. 15, 1926 in Biddeford a daughter of Philippe E. and Rosilda (Gagnon) Paquet.  She attended St. Andre’s School and was a 1946 graduate of St. Andre’s High School.

Germaine had worked in the family business, Factory Island Meat Market in Saco. Later, with her twin sister, she operated the Ye Sandwich Shoppe on Saco Ave. in Old Orchard Beach for 12 years, retiring in 1983.

She enjoyed reading, woodworking, stained glass work, traveling and working with her computer.

Germaine was predeceased by three sisters, Simone P. Reny (and her husband Philip in 1993), Claire H. Paquet, and Lucille V. Paquet in 2007; and a brother Phillippe E. Paquet and his wife Lorraine in 2017.

Germaine is survived by her twin sister Fernande; her nieces and nephews Diane (Kevin) Norby, Jo- Ann (Steve) Church, Michael (Judy) Reny, Lisa (Jerry) Morin, and Albert (Lynette) Paquet ; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visiting Hours will be Friday, April 13 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 13 at St Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
