I am writing in support of Superintendent Xavier Botana’s school budget, so that we can maintain quality schools in Portland.

In my opinion, there is almost nothing more important that we can do as a city than providing a good education and school-related opportunities for our Portland kids.

I would like my grandchildren to have the same ability to grow, learn and develop that I had as a student in the Portland school system, and as a lifelong resident of this city.

Please don’t cut schools, programs or teachers. The future of our city is at stake.
