I’m supporting Democrat Mark Eves for governor because we need a governor who will work every day to build a better Maine; one with a more equitable health-care system, that supports its seniors so they can age in their homes, fully invests in our children’s education, and enacts stricter gun safety laws.
Time and again, Mark has shown that he never backs down from what he knows is the right thing to do. As speaker of the House, he passed Medicaid expansion five times, and when elected, he will continue this fight, promising to enact Medicaid expansion on his first day in office and to work with the federal government to create a nationwide, single-payer health-care system.
We need to return dignity and respect to the Blaine House, and Mark can, and will, do that. We all deserve a governor like Mark, and that’s why I’m voting for him on Tuesday, June 12.
