CAPE ELIZABETH — Yarmouth rallied from a three-goal halftime deficit to top Cape Elizabeth in boys’ lacrosse 7-6 on Tuesday.

Michael Guertler scored twice for Yarmouth (2-0), and Preston Jancovic, Cooper May, Connor Senger and Gavin Hamm each added a goal.

The Capers are 1-1.

GREELY 18, WAYNFLETE 11: Ben Kennedy scored four goals and the Rangers (1-1) defeated the Flyers (1-1) in Portland.

Andrew Lawrence added two goals and four assists for Greely.

Mitchell Adams scored three goals for Greely and Will Armstrong made seven saves.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 16, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5: Gunnar Gurnis scored six goals, Caleb Eklund had four goals and four assists and the Raiders (3-0) downed the Patriots (0-1) in Gray.

Evan Caracciolo and Caleb Bowles each added two goals.

BASEBALL

SOUTH PORTLAND 8, KENNEBUNK 1: Dillan Ray-Bolduc and Riley Hasson each doubled and drove in two runs as the Red Riots (1-0) rolled past the Rams (0-1) in South Portland.

Zach Johnson picked up the win, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven in five innings.

BIDDEFORD 6, GORHAM 4: Evan Paquette hit RBI singles in the second and third innings and Biddeford (2-0) held on to beat Gorham (1-1) in Gorham.

Logan Magnant had three hits, and Carter Edgerton added two for Biddeford.

Brice Springer pitched a complete game, striking out one, to earn the win.

Nelson doubled and drove in two runs for Gorham.

SCARBOROUGH 6, WESTBROOK 2: Nicholas Thompson hit an RBI triple and earned the win in relief to lead the Red Storm (1-2) past the Blue Blazes (0-2).

Scarborough scored four runs in the top of the seventh to break a 2-2 tie. Zachary Alofs and Jack Clark each drove in a run to start the inning, before Thompson drove in Clark on a triple.

Thompson pitched 22/3 innings, striking out six.

Liam Cooledge had an RBI single for Westbrook.

FALMOUTH 11, BONNY EAGLE 8: Connor Coffin had three hits and Garret Aube drove in a pair of runs as the Yachtsmen (2-0) held off the Scots (1-1) in Standish.

Sam Kidder added two hits, including a double for Falmouth, which scored three runs in the sixth to take an 11-8 lead.

Robert Faucher and Christian Napolitano each had two hits for Bonny Eagle.

GREELY 7, WELLS 3: Nicholson Butler had three hits and Will Neleski drove in three runs as the Rangers (2-0) beat the Warriors (0-2) in Cumberland.

Neleski hit a two-run double during a four-run second to give Greely a 6-2 lead.

Connor Sullivan picked up the win, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out nine in 61/3 innings.

Cameren Cousins and Tyler Bridge each had two hits for Wells.

BREWER 8, OCEANSIDE 5: Ben Byorak broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the eighth with an RBI single and the Witches (3-1) held on to beat the Mariners (2-1) in Rockland.

Hunter Russell later followed with two-out, two-run single.

Titus Kaewthong hit a grand slam in the seventh with Oceanside trailing 5-1 to tie the game and force extra innings.

MARSHWOOD 18, MASSABESIC 8: Maxwell Horton homered, tripled and drove in four runs to lead the Hawks (1-1) past the Mustangs (1-1) in six innings in South Berwick.

Tyler Lambert drove in two runs for Massabesic.

PORTLAND 7, NOBLE 1: Pitcher Donato Tocci had three hits and earned the win to lead the Bulldogs (1-0) over the Knights (1-1) in North Berwick.

CHEVERUS 10, SANFORD 0: Justin Ray threw a complete game one-hitter and struck out seven, Maximus St. John drove in three runs and the Stags (1-1) rolled past the Spartans (1-1) in five innings in Sanford.

SOFTBALL

BREWER 4, OCEANSIDE 2: MacKenzie Dore hit a three-run double in the third inning and the Witches (4-0) defeated the Mariners (1-1) in Rockland.

Abby Veilleux hit an RBI-single in the third inning and grounded into a fielder’s choice in the bottom of seventh that cut the lead to 4-2. Oceanside then had the tying run in scoring position with the bases loaded, before Hannah Moholland lined out to Dore at shortstop.

THORNTON ACADEMY 26, BONNY EAGLE 1: Louisa Colucci threw a complete game and homered twice, and Olivia Howe and Hannah Collins each had five hits as the Trojans (3-0) cruised past the Scots (0-3) in Saco.

Collins drove in six runs, and Howe drove in four.

Colucci allowed one run on one hit, striking out six.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

MASSABESIC 8, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: The Mustangs scored seven goals in the second half to get by the Trojans in a season-opener for both teams in Saco.

Morgan Pike scored four goals, and Hallie Benton, Madison Drain, Cam Champlin and Cailyn Forrester each added a goal apiece.

Dana Sirois made 12 saves for Thornton.

WINDHAM 9, BONNY EAGLE 5: Alanna Joyce scored three goals and the Eagles (1-0) used a 4-1 second-half advantage to pull away and defeat the Scots (0-2) in Standish.

Maddie Beem added two goals for Windham.

Jenna Litif scored twice for Bonny Eagle.

WAYNFLETE 9, CHEVERUS 3: Kanha Stockford scored five goals to lead the Flyers (2-0) over the Stags (0-1) in Portland.

Laura Baginski had two goals for Waynflete, which led 5-2 at the half. Avis Ekers made 16 saves.

KENNEBUNK 10, FALMOUTH 3: Erin Gorton scored five goals and the Rams (2-0) cruised to victory over the Yachtsmen (1-1) in Kennebunk.

Caitlyn Camelio scored twice for Falmouth and Kayla Sarazin had a goal.

YARMOUTH 22, FREEPORT 7: Eva Then scored nine goals to lead the Clippers (2-0) over the Falcons (1-1) in Freeport.

Emma Marston added four goals for Yarmouth, which outscored Freeport 14-1 in the second half.
