I grew up in Cape Elizabeth and care deeply about the future of my hometown. And, for that reason, I hope you will consider voting for Mary Ann Lynch in the June 12 Democratic primary.

I had the pleasure of working indirectly with Mary Ann over the years when she was the legislative and media liaison for the Maine Judicial Branch. I always found her to be helpful, insightful and knowledgeable, particularly when I was seeking clarity in often-complicated matters.

Perhaps more importantly, Mary Ann has a reputation for working across party lines and finding common ground in solving problems. That is what is sorely lacking, not only here in Maine, but also across the nation. She has a disarming, pragmatic approach that, I believe, would be very welcome at the State House, where consensus is often elusive. It is refreshing to find someone who is not looking for the Democratic answer or the Republican answer to problems, but the right answer for the people of Maine.

I am certain Mary Ann Lynch will make an excellent state representative, and, based on my observations, will be a tireless advocate for all the people she serves in Cape Elizabeth.
