Local newspapers are going out of business or laying off their reporters, photographers and other staff. On the very page on which I am composing this message, you proclaim “Wake up to the local news you need.” However, there is no need for me to be rallying for the print media if my local newspaper cannot seem to deliver a paper to me on a consistent basis.

Surely I could use my computer, phone or tablet to read the “paper,” but I can get all the “local news I need” without paying you for either a digital subscription or delivery.

I do not know what the problem is. Maybe the local delivery person is not good at his or her job. Maybe you need to pay your delivery people more to get the job done. But that is a problem for you to solve. And I wish you would.
