The big question is “Why?”
Why did President Trump treat British Prime Minister Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Merkel dismissively and antagonistically while lavishing praise on Russian President Vladimir Putin during this last trip abroad?
Why did President Trump criticize NATO and make our allies squirm, leaving both the allies and Americans wondering about his intent?
Why did President Trump, during the news conference in Helsinki, dismiss the conclusions of all governmental investigations, including those of the FBI and CIA, that found evidence of Russian tampering with our electoral process?
Why did President Trump say that America, too, was to blame for Russian hacking?
Why did President Trump refuse to allow any aides or advisers be part of his meeting with President Putin?
Why should we not be appalled and repulsed?
Why should we not be worried, very worried?
