DAN BOWLEY of Bowley Excavating competes in the backhoe contest. The competition was part of the construction rodeo Thursday at the Topsham Fair. Competitors are timed as they move objects from one pad to another. Bowley had some experience, competing in his second backhoe event. Thursday was his first competition at the Topsham Fair.
