This letter is for all the under-30-year-olds out there. The coming election is probably one of the most important in years. Depending upon which way it goes, major changes will be made on everything from education to reproductive rights to the economy and health care. Sadly, if past performance holds, 70 percent of you will not vote, yet you will be most affected by the results of this election. It takes less than 10 minutes to register to vote at one’s town hall and voters have a number of days before Nov. 6 to cast a ballot.
lf you have no problem with other people deciding your life in this society for you, then ignore the election. If you want to be a viable member of this society, then register and vote.
