BRUNSWICK — Volunteers of America Northern New England will welcome American Legion Auxiliary National President Kathy Dungan for a tour at Cabin in the Woods.  Dungan is traveling on a nationwide tour, and will stop in Maine Friday.

Dungan will have the opportunity to learn about veteran support efforts in Maine including a tour and meeting female veterans at the newly opened Cabin in the Woods at Togus, a facility for homeless veterans.

Dungan’s focus this year is on female homeless veterans and members of the Maine American Legion Auxiliary are joining her by donating house warming gifts to female veterans at the Cabin in the Woods .

Friday evening, she will travel to American Legion Post 202 in Topsham for dinner and a meet and greet with local members. Dungan will also visit Brunswick American Legion Post 20 where she will present Maine’s newest American Legion Auxiliary Unit with their Charter.

Dungan will be meeting one on one with female veterans at The American Legion State Headquarters on Saturday morning, as well as observing The American Legion’s college and touring the Legion Family Compound.
