Joseph Alexander Labrador, 78, of Limerick, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Kennebunk Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born in Yarmouth on June 15, 1940, a son of James A. and Mary R. (Pictou) Labrador.

Joe worked as a young man for New England Home until he started his own business, Pro Built Construction.

Joe went by the nickname Sal. He enjoyed many activities including hunting, horse races and playing cards. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and by one sister, Lucy (Croteau) Labrador.

He is survived by; his wife, Marlene (Pierce) Labrador of Limerick; a son, Joseph Allen Labrador and his wife, Christine of Arundel; two daughters, Gayle Ann Darling and her husband, James of Old Orchard Beach and Cindy M. Hersam and her husband, Dan of Kennebunk. He is also survived by; three sisters, Johanne Lank of Kennebunk, Linda Binnette of Alfred and Barbara Daney of Alfred; one brother, Larry Labrador of Arundel, 10 grandchildren, Josh, Joseph, Kathy, Wilbur, Billy, Amanda, Danielle, Alex, Jake and Tristen; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
