NORTH WATERBORO — Jeannette Parker, 89, of North Waterboro and formerly of Saco, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

She was born March 4, 1929 in Saco a daughter of Arthur and Aurea (Baril) Porter.  She was educated in local schools and attended Thornton Academy.

She had been employed at Dunkin Donuts on Elm Street in Biddeford, walking there from Saco to work the third shift.  Later she worked at Corning in Kennebunk, then at West Point Pepperell, retiring in 1993.

Jeannette enjoyed playing cards and playing bingo. When she was able, she often attended daily mass. She made the holidays special for the family with gatherings at her home. The family greatly appreciates that Nancy provided care and comfort for Jeannette for the last four years.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Juliette Picard; brothers  Conrad, Raymond and Donald Porter; a sister Rose Parker; grandsons Paul Picard and Allen Bennison; a nephew Wilbur Parker, Jr.; and a daughter-in-law Diane Parker.

Surviving are four daughters Irene Huntington and husband Russell of Winter Haven Florida, Pauline McGee and husband Roger of Wells, Nancy Dalzell and husband Michael of North Waterboro, and Ann Parker and husband Michael Noonan of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two sons Edward Parker Jr. of Biddeford and Raymond Parker and wife Carleen of Biddeford; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
