LYMAN — A Sanford man was arrested in Lyman after driving a truck with license plates registered to a Ford Escort.

Cedric Murley, 28,  of Sanford, was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy at 2 a.m. Saturday at Kennebunk Road in Lyman because he was allegedly driving a Chevrolet pick-up truck with license plates registered to a Ford Escort, according to a press release from York County Sheriff William King.

Murley was charged with attaching false plates, violating conditions of release and operating after suspension as well as five outstanding warrants.

Murley’s vehicle was towed and his bail was set at $2,891, said King. Murley is at York County Jail.

He was to be arraigned on Monday morning by video arraignment, said King.
