BRUNSWICK — Yarmouth scored the go-ahead goal with three minutes remaining in regulation for a 2-1 boys high school hockey win over Brunswick at Sidney J. Watson Arena on Wednesday.

The Dragons fell to 2-1 and face Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Hallowell.

The Clippers grabbed an early lead, but Brunswick rallied to tie the game with four seconds left in the first period when Jack St. Pierre scored on a power play.

Yarmouth had several chances to take the lead in the middle frame, but Brunswick netminder Spencer Marquis made several stops, finishing with 17 saves on the night.

Girls hockey

BRUNSWICK — The host Mt. Ararat/Morse Eagles earned their first win (1-4) with a victory over Biddeford/Thornton Academy/Wells on Tuesday at Watson Arena.

Ema Hawkes had a pair of goals, while Colby Leighton and Maddie Young slipped in one for Mt. Ararat/Morse. Hali Poulin, Amber Card, Abigail Lucas and Alyssa Dau each earned an assist.

Lily Clough scored the lone goal for the visitors off an assist from Mady Belanger.

Lily Schenk turned away 21 shots in the win, while Kelsie Kelly had 24 saves in the setback.

Mt. Ararat/Morse visits Greely/Gray-New Gloucester on Saturday at 3:50 p.m. at Falmouth Family Ice Center.
