BIDDEFORD — Madeleine M. Boilard, 94, of Biddeford died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.

She was born March 12, 1924 in Biddeford, a daughter of Arthur and Amazalie (Nicol) Remillard and was educated in St. Andre’s School, graduating from St. Andre’s High School.

On April 26, 1947 she married Robert Boilard at St. Andre’s Church.

As a young woman she had worked as a telephone operator, returning home to be a full-time mother and homemaker.

Madeleine had been a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She was predeceased by Robert, her husband of 68, years, on Jan. 26, 2015 and by her siblings, Gil Remillard, Camille Menard, Jacqueline Grenier, and Henrietta Remillard.

Surviving are three daughters, Joan Crowley, Patricia Fecteau, and Karen Boilard, all of Biddeford; a son, Marc Boilard of Bangor; three sisters, Claire Racine of Biddeford, Lucette Valentino of Saco and Yolande Roy of Auburn; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral services.
