AUGUSTA and GRAY—The G-NG Cheer squad recently wrapped up its competition season with a series of impressive results: second at the Western Maine Conference Championship, fourth at their Regionals competition seventh at States.

Hermon won the State Meet (held at the August Civic Center), amassing 86 points; Ellsworth claimed second at 82.8. Medomak Valley finished third (78.5), followed by Old Town in fourth (74.1), Leavitt in fifth (74), Presque Isle in sixth (69.4), and G-NG (58.6). Spruce Mountain, Morse, Mount Desert Island, Freeport and John Bapst all trailed the Patriots.

“What an incredible team who always puts team first,” said G-NG head coach Melissa Burilla. “I could not be prouder about our second place at WMCs, our four place at Regionals and our seventh place at States. These are great kids from a great school and great community!”
