PORTLAND — Superintendent of Schools Xavier Botana will host a two-part book group at the Portland Public Library Fridays, March 15 and 22.
The discussions, which begin at noon, are free and open to the public. The book is “The Middle of Everywhere,” which includes a collection of stories about displaced people and the challenges of transitioning into a new country.
The Portland Public Schools central office, 353 Cumberland Ave., has a few books to loan on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 874-8100 for more information.
