PORTLAND — A 24-year-old man was indicted for murder April 5 by a Cumberland County grand jury in the death of Isahak Muse.
Mark Cardilli Jr., of 107 Milton St., was arrested at police headquarters on Middle Street the afternoon he was indicted, Lt. Robert Martin said in a news release.
Cardilli remains in Cumberland County Jail in Portland, held without bail.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt, it is a determination enough evidence exists to bring a case to trial.
Muse was killed around 1:45 a.m. March 16 inside the home where Cardilli lived with his family, Martin said.
Police have released no details except to say Muse was killed after an altercation. The Office of the State Medical Examiner determined he died from gunshot wounds, and his death is considered a homicide.
