STRONG — Lisbon scored two runs in the first inning and finished off Mt. Abram with four runs in the seventh for an 11-1 Mountain Valley Conference high school baseball win on Wednesday.

The Greyhounds are 9-0 and slated to host Spruce Mountain on Friday at 4 p.m.

Levi Levesque tossed five scoreless innings for the win. He struck out four, walked three, hit a batter and permitted two hits. Neil LaRochelle and Lucas Francis each pitched an inning, combining on two walks, two hits and a strikeout.

Levesque helped himself at the plate with three hits and an RBI, with Hunter Brissette and LaRochelle each picking up two hits. Noah Austin tripled.

Will Siemenski had two hits for the Roadrunners (4-5).

Morse 10, Gardiner 1

Asa Hodgdon threw a three-hitter and Tom Warren had four hits and three RBIs to power Morse to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win at Bath.

The Shipbuilders are 8-4 and host Freeport today at 5 p.m.

Warren singled three times and doubled to lead Morse’s 15-hit attack. Hodgdon and Austin Magliozzi each had two hits.

Hodgdon struck out six and walked one.

Gardiner (3-7) was powered by Casey Bourque’s double.

BATH — Anastasia Alaboudi’s two-run single in the bottom of the seventh gave Morse a 4-3 walk-off KVAC win over Gardiner on Tainter Field.

The Shipbuilders are 7-4 and host Freeport today at 5 p.m.

Dory Kulis and Abby Carpenter singled in the seventh. Each stole a base to move into scoring position before Alaboudi delivered the winning hit.

Kulis struck out three, walked one and permitted four hits for the mound win.

Carpenter paced the Morse offense with a home run, two singles and an RBI. Kulis picked up two hits, including a double.

Gardiner pitcher Jill Bisson struck out two. Haley Bram, Bisson and Maggie Bell each singled for the Tigers, who rallied from a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the sixth.

Freeport 5, Yarmouth 3

The Falcons used a three-run fifth inning to rally for a Western Maine Conference win over the Clippers at Yarmouth.

Freeport improved to 5-6 and visits Morse today at 5 p.m.

Alexys Langley led Freeport’s eight-hit attack with a pair of singles. Sarah Gray added a big two-run single.

Alexa Koenig struck out two, walked three and permitted seven hits for the mound win.

Yarmouth (3-6) was led offensively by Cayte Tellefson, who singled and doubled, scored a run and drove in one. Leanne Lyon struck out five in the loss.

Boys lacrosse

BRUNSWICK — Aiden Glover powered his way to seven goals as Brunswick rolled to a 23-3 KVAC win over Messalonskee.

The Dragons are 7-1 and host Falmouth on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Brunswick head coach Don Glover has 299 wins.

Aiden Glover scored six goals in the first half as the Dragons claimed a 15-0 halftime lead. Jacob Belanger added four goals and two assists.

Ethan Mattson, Joshua Languet and Cameron Goff had a goal each for the 1-7 Eagles.

GARDINER — Anna Chadwick scored the go-ahead goal with 4:53 remaining to lift Gardiner/Hall-Dale to a 7-6 KVAC win over Morse.

The Shipbuilders are 3-5 heading into Friday’s road contest against Lake Region. The Tigers improved to 4-2.

Morse held a 4-2 halftime lead, but in the second half went scoreless over the final 9:48.

Emily Belanger led Morse with two goals and an assist. Sydney Moore, Maddie McDonough, Emma Warner and Emma Roth-Wells added a goal each, with Nikki Brazee, Moore, McDonough and Warner each chipping in an assist.

Abby Sreden turned away 10 shots in the Shipbuilder cage.

Madelin Walker and Emma Bourget picked up two goals each for Gardiner, while goaltender Skye Cotnoir had six saves.

Oxford Hills 14, Brunswick 8

Cecila Dietrich had five goals and Maggie Hartnett picked up four as the visiting Vikings earned a KVAC win over the Dragons in Brunswick.

Jade Smedberg and Cassidy Walo had two goals each, and Olivia Orlando picked up a goal for Oxford Hills (5-1).

Emily Cloutier had a hat trick for Brunswick (2-4), with Amanda Cloutier and Lila Solberg scoring two goals apiece. Taylor Cunningham also had a goal.   

Mikaela Aschbrenner made 16 stops for Brunswick, while Tiana James and Aaliyah Moore combined for 10 saves for Oxford Hills.

Brunswick visits St. Dom’s on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Greely 15, Freeport 7

Greely got goals from nine players and never trailed in a WMC win against Freeport in Cumberland.

The Rangers (6-2) built a 7-4 halftime lead, then scored the first seven goals of the second half. Elsa Dean-Muncie led Greely with four goals and two assists. Katie Bennert and Jayme Morrison each added two goals and an assist, and Lotti Zeirvogel also scored twice.

The Falcons (6-2) received two goals apiece from Margaret Perrotta, Savannah Tracy and Molly Whelan, and nine saves from Piper Sherbert.

Freeport hosts Gorham on Friday at 6 p.m.
