Route 202 paving planned
Pike Industries will be doing an ultra-thin paving project along Route 202 starting Sunday, June 2, and continuing through Tuesday, June 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Traffic signals at the Hannaford intersection (Route 202 and Portland Road) will be flashing and flaggers will be on duty.

Smith police academy grad
Buxton Police Officer Hunter Smith recently graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro. One of 63 graduates, Smith spent 18 weeks studying and training.
Community parade sign up
Individuals and groups wishing to participate in the town’s community parade at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, can register online by visiting www.buxton.me.us.
The parade’s theme is red, white and blue, and is held in conjunction with the annual Dorcas Fest, sponsored by the Dorcas Society of Hollis and Buxton.
