Damariscotta Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the promotion of three bank officers

Sonja Benne

Sonja Benner has been promoted to Vice President, Treasurer. Benner joined DB&T in 2005, and during these 14 years, she has held several positions. She graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with an Accounting Concentration. She holds several bank compliance certifications including Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designations. Benner lives in Warren and enjoys volunteering for various local organizations including her niece’s school and Girl Scout Troup. 

Breanne Hatch

Breanne Hatch has been promoted to Vice President, Risk Management & BSA Officer. Brea brings over 11 years of banking experience to her role. She has earned her Supervisor, Business Development, and Managers as Leaders Certificates and is currently attending Southern Maine Community College to earn her Business Degree. Hatch is an avid supporter of New Hope for Women and the fight to end domestic violence. She lives in Damariscotta with her husband Dan and daughter Tally. 

Grace Shorey

Grace Shorey has been promoted to Vice President, Strategic Initiatives Officer. Shorey brings over 19 years of experience to her role and has held various positions. She graduated from Andover College with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science. When Shorey’s two children were young, she volunteered in their classrooms and with the Boy Scout and Girl Scout organizations. She now enjoys ringing the bell for the Lincoln County Food Hunger Collection during the holidays. Grace lives in the Midcoast with her husband John.

Midcoast Federal Credit Union announces new hires 

Kristen Poremby

Midcoast Federal Credit Union is pleased to welcome Kristen Poremby as their new Senior Vice President Retail Services.  Poremby has over 9 years of retail banking management and business development experience. She is excited to bring her knowledge in the consumer, mortgage and commercial lending sector to the Midcoast Team.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Management from UMA and is currently seeking her MBA 

Chelsea Kershner

Chelsea Kershner has been hired as Branch Supervisor in their Brunswick branch.  Kershner brings 6 years of diverse financial institution knowledge as well as 7 years of leadership experience to her role.
