PORTLAND —  The Munjoy Hill Neighborhood Association will discuss historic districting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the St. Lawrence Arts & Community Center.

The session, presented by city staff, will be aimed at answering questions related to a plan the Department of Planning, along with the Historic Preservation Program, have submitted to zone a section of Munjoy Hill as historically designated.

Work on the plan has been going on for the past year and will soon be ready for review by the city’s Historic Preservation Board and Planning Board before being passed to the City Council.

Deb Andrews, Portland’s historic preservation program manager, said Thursday’s meeting is one of the last opportunities left to get information before the official process begins.

The meeting at 76 Congress St. will feature an overview of the city’s historic preservation program, as well as examples of typical reviews.
