LISBON — The Lisbon High School boys soccer team scored early and often en route to a 7-1 Mountain Valley Conference win over Dirigo on Monday.

The Greyhounds are 3-1 and host Wiscasset on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Danny Levesque finished off a pass from Hunter Brissette to give Lisbon a 1-0 lead 3:14 into the game.

Elijah Fullerton tallied the next two for the ’Hounds, while Brissette scored off a pass from Caleb Phillips for a 4-0 halftime lead.

Fullerton completed his hat trick with 15:30 left, and Brissette, who had two goals and two assists, scored again from Justin Violette. Bryce Poulin set up Violette for the game’s final goal.

“I was very pleased how we started the game and were ready to play today, that is a big step for us as a program,” said Lisbon first-year coach Shawn Rhoda. “We got our starting center back Ethan Brown back for his first game of the season and he stepped right in and made a difference. Our focus as a team is just try and get better every time we step on the field and play for 80 minutes.”

Lisbon goaltender Sean Moore turned away seven shots, and the Greyhounds held a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.
