George Arthur Dugal

BRUNSWICK – George Arthur Dugal, 66, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 at Winship Green Center for Health & Rehabilitation, LLC.  He was born May 15, 1953 in Biddeford, the son of Robert and Bernadette Gagne Dugal. 
George attended St. John’s Catholic School and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1971. 
After serving the Army in Germany and Texas, George worked for Dutch Girl Bakery, Shaw’s, Production Supply Company, Hannaford, Joshua’s Tavern and Brunswick Variety Store. George loved bowling in many leagues at Yankee Lanes for 44 years, was league secretary treasurer of the Bowling Association and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame.
George enjoyed family gatherings, holidays, golfing, bike riding, watching the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees and could frequently be seen at Danny’s on the mall for two chili dogs and a Pepsi.
He is survived by his former wife Janice Bouchard Staples; a son Adam Dugal of Bowdoin; a sister Louise Allen and husband Mark of Brunswick; an aunt Ginette Beauchesne and an uncle Fr. Donald Gagne S.M. both of Auburn; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 
The family would like to thank the wonderful health care providers at Winship Green for their devotion to their patients.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Catholic Church in Brunswick on Tuesday, Oct.15, 2019 at 11 a.m. George’s final resting place will be at the Augusta Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
