CUMBERLAND — Peter Psyhogeos scored four goals to lead Yarmouth to an 8-5 win over Greely in a season-opening boys’ lacrosse game Thursday afternoon.

Pyshogeos got two goals and Colin Senger added another to put the Clippers up 3-0 after one quarter, but the Rangers pulled within 5-4 heading into the fourth.

Psyhogeos then set up Steve Fulton before scoring twice more to close it out.

Fulton finished with two goals, and Senger and Aksel Yeo had one apiece.

Greely was paced by two goals from D.J. Kenney and Chase Cornwall. Spencer Osgood made 15 saves.

FALMOUTH 14, GORHAM 3: Eva Clement collected six goals and an assist, leading the Yachtsmen to a win over the Rams in Falmouth.

Sloane Ginevan added three goals and Molly Scribner scored twice.

Allie Light scored two goals for Gorham, with Jill Morrell adding a third.

FREEPORT 13, LAKE REGION 8: Meredith Feller scored four goals and Kate Tracy added three as the Falcons handled the Lakers in Freeport.

Megan Driscoll chipped in with two goals and an assist. Elizabeth Whittier had a goal and two assists.

Shauna Hancock and Katie Keenan scored three goals apiece for Lake Region.

WAYNFLETE 14, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Laney Friedland, Jesse Connors and Cece Bliss scored two goals apiece, and the Flyers shut out the Raiders in Portland.

Morgan Earls helped with a goal and four assists. Victoria Abbott made four saves.

Lily Rubin made 13 saves for Fryeburg.

BASEBALL

YORK 10, MARSHWOOD 0: Austin Mather and Luke Doughty combined on a one-hitter, and Doughty went 3 for 3 with two RBI to lead the Wildcats past the Hawks in a five-inning game at York.

Mather struck out eight in 4 1/3 innings, allowing only D.J. Cagnina’s double in the fourth inning.

Joe Neal went 2 for 3 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Hayden Henriksen also had two hits and two runs.

WELLS 7, SANFORD 5: The Warriors scored seven runs with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past the Spartans in Wells.

Chase Trudeau was 3 for 3 for Wells. Keith Ramsey went 2 for 2 and pitched the seventh to earn a save.

BERWICK ACADEMY 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 4: A four-run fourth inning lifted the Bulldogs to a win over the Rangers in South Berwick.

Spencer Aubin allowed one run over five innings and also led Berwick’s offense with two hits, including a two-run homer. Mike Michaud hit a two-run double in the fourth.

Frankie Driscoll had three singles and two stolen bases and scored two runs for Traip. Matt Ford finished with two hits and a run scored.
