GARDINER — Sophomores Zach Stern-Hayes and Nick Marro each scored five goals to lead Brunswick to a 21-9 boys’ lacrosse win Thursday against Gardiner.

The Dragons (2-0) also got three goals from Gus Silverman and two apiece from Albert Putnam, Max Rudgers and Chris Kousky.

Gabe Poirier led Gardiner (0-1) with three goals. Sean Doyle and Cam Rizzo each scored twice.

SCARBOROUGH 18, SOUTH PORTLAND 7: Finn Pederson scored five goals, Aiden Joyce had four goals and two assists and Will St. Germain finished with three goals for the Red Storm (2-0) against the visiting Red Riots (0-3).

Cullen Adams scored three goals for South Portland.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

GORHAM 15, BONNY EAGLE 9: Kate Dupuis scored three goals, and Mary DeWitt, Jill Morrill, Allie Myles and Kaitlyn Nichols added two apiece as the Rams (1-2) downed the Scots (0-2) at Gorham.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 10, LINCOLN ACADEMY 9: Sarah Praul scored five goals, including the winner, to give Erskine (2-3) a victory over Lincoln (0-1) in South China.

Isabella Smith and Isabella Boudreau each added two goals.

Josie Henry had five goals for Lincoln, and Camden LeBel and Marley LeBel scored two apiece.

SOFTBALL

POLAND 10, EDWARD LITTLE 3: Kaylin O’Leary hit a two-run double and the Knights (4-1) put together two four-run innings against the Red Eddies (2-2) in Poland.

Khloe O’Leary, Sydney Lacombe and Emma Bunyea each had two hits for Poland. Maggie McGlauflin hit an RBI double and Emma Gagne also doubled.

Hannah Smith had a triple and a single for Edward Little.
